Introduction

This policy describes how TranscribeNow handles personal data when you create an account and transcribe audio or video.

What we collect

Account data: name, email, authentication identifiers
Billing data processed by the payment provider (Stripe or Creem)
Uploaded audio/video files, recordings, and the resulting transcripts
Usage records such as credit balance and transcription job status

How we use it

We use this data to run transcription jobs, show history, bill credits, and provide support. We do not sell your recordings or transcripts.

Transcription is performed by OpenAI using the configured speech-to-text model. Files are sent to OpenAI only to produce a transcript. Payment, email, and file storage providers (if configured) process data as needed to operate the service.

Keep OpenAI data-sharing / training opt-in disabled for this product so customer audio and transcripts are not used to train models.

Retention

Transcripts stay in your account until you delete them or the account is removed. Media files may be stored in object storage when that integration is enabled.
